Point System

Active = 150 - 199 points
Bronze =200-299 points
Silver= 300-399 points
Gold= 400-499 points - members become eligible for cords
Platinum= 500-599 points - members become eligible for stoles
Lifetime= 600+ points

*Members must maintain an active member status in the semester preceding graduation in order to remain eligible for both cords and stoles

Event Point System

Socials: 30 pts each
Volunteering:  30 pts each
Fundraising: 20pts each
Corporate Visits: 30 pts each
Guest Speakers: 30pts each
Meetings: 20pts each
NEW! Internship Offer Letter/ Proof of Internship: 20 points
  • May only be redeemed once per year including summer and winter terms. (SSHRD will classify a year as August 1st through July 31st to best align with the academic calendar)
  • Offer letter must be current and have a date or intended start date

NEW! Tag SSHRD on Instagram: 5 points per post-up to 10 points per post*
  • Must be a technology, engineering, UH, or other appropriate school topic OR SSHRD specific related post.
  • Only tag SSHRD in school appropriate content. NO exceptions.

NEW! Membership Referral: 10 points*
  • ​Must be applicant's first semester registering for SSHRD.
  • Points awarded to both the applicant and member referring applicant.
​Note*: Only BRAND NEW members can claim the referral during membership registration. The applicant must have no prior experience, registration, or affiliation with SSHRD in order to receive points. Member referring must be a current/renewing member of SSHRD in order for points be awarded to them.
